Meet Monique Louis
Our New VBA Chief Steward
AFGE Local 0003 is proud to welcome Monique Louis as our new Chief Steward for the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA).
Monique is a U.S. Navy Veteran who served as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate – Equipment (ABE). She is a graduate of St. Johns River State College with a degree in General Studies. Before her military service, she worked at Bank of America, served as a Court Clerk with the Broward County Clerk of Courts, and worked as a Legal Assistant with an international corporate law firm. That background in the courts and the legal field gives her a strong grasp of procedure, documentation, and advocacy, and she brings those skills to her work on behalf of our members.
Monique joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2017 and has a combined 14 years of federal service. She understands the work VBA employees do every day, and she is ready to stand with you.
